Hi-Clearance Sprayer Tire Rotation

Date: NOVEMBER, 1997

Due to the unique characteristics of Hi-Clearance Sprayers - high center of gravity heavy loads, tall narrow tires, and travel on narrow country roads - tire life, due to rapid/irregular wear, can be less than might otherwise be expected.

Typically, the right front tire wears out first, followed by the right rear. Left side tires wear more slowly.

To optimize tire wear, it is recommended that the tires be rotated in an "X" pattern when the right front tire is approximately 50% worn or at 250 hours, whichever comes first. When the tires are "X" rotated, the tire lug pattern will be pointing in the opposite direction from original. This will even out irregular wear if it was present.

NOTE: Set inflation pressures high enough to carry the maxiumum load. (See Firestone Farm Tire Data Book.)
