FIRESTONE RESEARCH & INNOVATION

Harvey Firestone tested the first pneumatic tires himself, on his family farm in Columbiana, Ohio. He knew if the tires would hold up to the rigorous requirements of field work there, they would be ready to take on farms across the country. Today, Firestone’s dedication to research and innovation continues at the Firestone Farm Tire Test Center right next door to the Firestone farm where it all started.

This is where our engineering team developed, tested, and evaluated the 23° tread design and AD2 technology, and it’s where future innovations are being researched 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

ADVANCED DEFLECTION DESIGN AD2

Carry the same load at lower pressures. Expect a new level of field performance with AD2 technology from Firestone, and you’ll also get increased load capacity, traction, and fuel savings, all while reducing soil compaction.
